Cette \u00e9tude vise \u00e0 examiner l\u2019effet du vieillissement sur la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 reconnaitre des expressions faciales d\u2019\u00e9motion et de douleur manifest\u00e9es par des personnages virtuels (des avatars). En d\u2019autres mots, est-ce qu\u2019une femme de 30 ans, par exemple, associe la m\u00eame \u00e9motion ou douleur \u00e0 un visage expressif qu\u2019un homme de 80 ans? Plus encore, est-ce que regarder des r\u00e9gions pr\u00e9cises du visage est li\u00e9 \u00e0 une meilleure reconnaissance de ces expressions? Pour le d\u00e9terminer, Chlo\u00e9 va suivre les mouvements des yeux des participants avec de petites cam\u00e9ras. Lequel est le plus parlant, les yeux ou la bouche? Des participants de tout \u00e2ge seront recrut\u00e9s et devront \u00e9valuer la nature et l\u2019intensit\u00e9 d\u2019expressions faciales d\u2019avatars d\u2019\u00e2ges diff\u00e9rents.<\/p><p>Dans une premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape, Chlo\u00e9 a besoin de volontaires pour valider ses avatars gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une \u00e9tude en ligne. Les participants sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00e9valuer les caract\u00e9ristiques (p. ex., \u00e2ge, sexe) des avatars en remplissant un questionnaire. L\u2019\u00e9tude est d\u2019une dur\u00e9e d\u2019environ 30 minutes.
