Les r\u00e9gions color\u00e9es sur les cerveaux de la figure 3 (voir l&rsquo;affiche) sont celles o\u00f9 des diff\u00e9rences ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rep\u00e9r\u00e9es entre les 2 groupes. Dans plusieurs aires du cerveau, une augmentation du volume, de la surface ou de l\u2019\u00e9paisseur a \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9e chez les choristes. Ces diff\u00e9rences pourraient \u00eatre li\u00e9es \u00e0 une am\u00e9lioration de la cognition et des habilet\u00e9s langagi\u00e8res des participants. Des analyses sont en cours pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cette question.<\/p><p>Les r\u00e9sultats d\u00e9montrent aussi un effet protecteur du chant choral sur le d\u00e9clin de certaines aires du cerveau (voir la figure 4 sur l\u2019affiche). La plasticit\u00e9, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire la capacit\u00e9 du cerveau \u00e0 se r\u00e9organiser, est un processus qui se produit tout au long de notre vie. Chanter dans une chorale pourrait aider notre cerveau \u00e0 rester \u00ab jeune \u00bb en promouvant cette plasticit\u00e9. Il reste tout de m\u00eame beaucoup \u00e0 faire pour comprendre comment le chant choral affecte notre cerveau. \u00c0 suivre
